The steering gear uses the energy required for vehicle steering of the power steering system. Under normal circumstances, only a small part of the energy is provided by the driver, while most of the energy is provided by the hydraulic energy (or pneumatic energy) provided by the oil pump (or air compressor) driven by the engine (or motor). A series of parts that are used to convert part of the mechanical energy output by the engine (or motor) into pressure energy, and exert hydraulic or pneumatic force in different directions on the steering transmission device or one of the transmission parts of the steering gear under the control of the driver to help the driver apply insufficient force. They are collectively referred to as power steering gear.
